Susan Stitham: Class of 1961

Susan’s niece Dillen White accepts on her behalf

Susan was a standout basketball and softball player during her four years at Foxcroft Academy.  She was elected captain by her peers in both sports as a senior. The Ponies won the Penquis League championship in her senior year and suffered just one defeat–an overtime loss to Dexter. Susan was the team’s leading scorer that season, tallying 160 points for a 13.3 point per game average. In Susan’s senior year on the softball team, she pitched the Ponies to an 8-2 record. Upon graduation from Middlebury College, she returned to her alma mater as a teacher and coach before moving to Alaska to embark on an illustrious career in education.
