In 2012 Foxcroft Academy added a new class called Applied Media Production. The goal of the course is to bring together students of various talents and have them produce a wide range of dynamic multimedia content with the aim of disseminating this content on Foxcroft Academy’s website and social media sites, among other places. The following students have made significant contributions to the school’s communication efforts since the class began in the fall of 2012.
Madison Fadley ’16, a junior from Dover-Foxcroft, has been a part of the field hockey, swim, and tennis teams at FA and is also involved with Key Club, Student Council, and Cooking Club. Her academic interests include graphic design, creative design, photography, mathematical drawing, and foreign languages. Madison serves as the chief graphic designer for the Applied Media Production class.
Sophia Kurzius ’16, a junior from Dover-Foxcroft, has played tennis since her freshman year and has been a part of just about every FA theater production. She is involved with Select Choir, Theater, and French Club. Her academic interests include writing, filmmaking, singing, and reading.
Matthew Kim ’16, a boarding student from Korea, is a catcher for the baseball team and an active member of both Key Club and the Asian Culture Club. Before he came to FA, Matthew was a photographer for his high school and middle school in Korea. He loves to take pictures at sports games and other school events for the Applied Media class, and he is also interested in Economics and World Languages.
Jing Guo ’16, a boarding student from China, joined Foxcroft Academy at the start of the 2014-2015 school year and is currently a member of Key Club. Jing’s academic interests include photography and history, and she primarily serves as a photographer for the Applied Media class.
Youjin Choi ’16, a boarding student from Korea, is a member of Art Club, Key Club, and Student Council. Youjin’s academic interests include art and design, and she focuses on photography and photo editing for the Applied Media class.
Daniil Grishko ’16, a boarding student from Krasnoyarsk, Russia, is a member of Key Club and the Outdoors Club. Both media production and outdoor activities are a new thing for him, as he comes from an urban background. Daniil’s academic interests include History and Linguistics, and he serves as a photographer, videographer, and writer for the Applied Media Production class.
