Mike Ditzel: Class of 1994

Mike was a three-sport athlete competing in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track. As a junior in outdoor track, he was the Eastern Maine champion in the 200 and 400 meter dashes and was runner-up in the 100. He was also state runner-up in the 400 that year. As a senior, Mike won Eastern Maine titles in the 100, 200, and 400. He went on to become state champ in the 400 and runner-up in the 100 and 200.  In indoor track, Mike won a state title as a junior in the 600. As a senior, he won league titles in the 55, 300, and 600, was named Outstanding Male Performer for the league meet, and was state runner-up the 60 and 600. He holds school indoor track records for the 55 meter dash, 300 yard dash, 600 yard dash, and most total points in a meet. Outside, Mike holds school records in the 100, 200, and 400 and also holds the record for most points in a season with 235.35. After Foxcroft, Mike went on to run at Bucknell University. He has since coached here at FA and MDI and currently coaches at Hampden Academy.
