Lloyd Blethen: Class of 1943

A key member of the 1942 national championship cross country team, Lloyd Blethen held the FA school record for the mile run for more than 50 years. As a junior, he set course records at Bates and the University of Maine.  In his two years of cross country competition, he went 20-0. Lloyd’s prowess on the cross country course and track was known for miles around, and his name still resonates among the running community.
