Tom Lizotte, who is County Manager for Piscataquis County government in Dover-Foxcroft, was elected to the Foxcroft Academy Board of Trustees on October 27, 2008. He is chair of the Advancement Committee and also serves on the Superintending and Liaison committees.
Mr. Lizotte is actively involved in the Dover-Foxcroft community. He is the past chair of the Piscataquis County Commissioners, vice president of the Piscataquis County Economic Development Council, and a member of the Pine Crest Development Corp. He has chaired the boards of the Maine Humanities Council, Eastern Maine Development Corporation and Penquis CAP. In his free time, Mr. Lizotte enjoys reading history and literature, hiking, boating, and singing in the choir of the Dover-Foxcroft Congregational Church. A former daily newspaper sports editor, he spends entirely too much time following his favorite sports teams: the St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Celtics, Foxcroft Ponies, and Colby White Mules.
Mr. Lizotte attended The Gilbert School in Winsted, CT, and earned a BA in English from Colby College. He wife Leslie graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1970, and their sons, Andrew ’00 and Patrick ’02, are also FA graduates.
