Foxcroft Academy to hold 2019 Open House and Post Grad Fair in One Evening

August 26, 2019

Dover-Foxcroft – On Wednesday, September 4th, Foxcroft Academy will host its annual Fall Open House. It’s a chance for all Foxcroft Academy students and their families to see the school and get to know their teachers. In conjunction with the night, F.A. Counseling Services will host their 4th annual Postgraduate Fair (for grades 9-12) and a Senior Information Session, to follow, for Foxcroft students and their parents/guardians. The purpose of the evening is to get everyone on the same page with postgraduate planning and to provide a chance to get needed college, military and employment information to students.

“It’s imperative that our parents and students, grades 9-12, have questions answered from people in the know,” said Kandi Martin, School Counselor at Foxcroft Academy. “We have 29 colleges with confirmed attendance this year in addition to the Finance Authority of Maine, all branches of the military and at least four major employment companies from the area. Each year the event has grown and the response from the community has been fabulous. We want our students to get information early on and to be in the know.”

Here is the schedule for the evening:

5:30 pm – 6:45 pm – Postgraduate Fair for all students, grades 9-12, located in the gymnasium

  •     Featuring Maine colleges, multiple branches of the armed services, and several local employers looking to hire recent graduates. Booths will be set up and ready for students and parents to stop and ask specific questions about applications, programs, etc. Families can mingle between the Open House and the Postgraduate Fair.
