Danny White was a three-sport star during his time at Foxcroft Academy and was inducted to the Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. On the gridiron he was a team leader from his halfback position and as a senior helped lead his team to an Eastern Maine championship, earning LTC Player of the Year honors in the process. In basketball, the sharp-shooting guard scored 969 points in just three years on the varsity squad while often putting team ahead of personal goals. As a senior he led the Ponies to an 18-2 record and was named Big East Player of the Year. In baseball, the slick-fielding shortstop was again an anchor for his Pony teams. As a junior, Danny was named to the All-Conference First Team and led the Ponies to an Eastern Maine championship. He went on to a stellar career playing second base for John Winkin’s Husson Eagles. Danny was named head football coach at Foxcroft Academy prior to the 2009 season. He led the Ponies to an Eastern Maine title his first year and won a state title in 2012.
