Bob White: Class of 1966

Bob was a three-sport standout in his time at Foxcroft Academy. He was an All-LTC selection in football and was a key member of the Penquis League championship team his senior year. He once had a punt travel 60 yards in a game against Greenville. In basketball, he was a three-year varsity player and an anchor in the middle. On the baseball field, Bob was a true star. As the team’s catcher, he was like having another coach on the field. In the early 1980s, Jim Harvey wrote an article in The Piscataquis Observer proclaiming Bob to be the best Foxcroft Academy athlete of the last 25 years. After his time at the Academy, Bob went on to play football and baseball at the University of Maine before joining the Navy. After his military career, Bob became a very well-respected basketball and football official in southern Maine.
