Foxcroft Academy’s Visual Arts program has grown to ten classes–Art, Metal Sculpture, Yearbook Production, Intro to Film, Filmmaking, Applied Media Production, Digital Photography, Ceramics, Studio Art, and AP Studio Art–taught by five faculty members.
The Foxcroft Visual Arts program has consistently instructed and encouraged talented artists over the years, and recently students have earned a Gold Key Award at the Maine Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, had their artwork displayed at the College Board office in Boston, and have placed in the top three spots at the annual GFWC Miosac Club District Art Show.
The always-popular Metal Sculpture course also continues to produce cutting-edge work at the crossroads of welding and art. Our students recently took great pictures of what they have done over the semester. See their latest work here, https://flic.kr/s/aHskNaHPQy. Who knew metal could look so good?
Additionally, FA’s talented crew of student photographers in the Digital Photography course recently captured a variety of fantastic water drop photos.
Student photographers from the Applied Media Production course, armed with a variety of DSLR cameras, continue to produce incredible work regularly, much of which can be seen on FA’s official Flickr page.
