The Academy's Annual International Food Night was held Friday, February 5th in the dining hall and Student Center of the Academy. International boarding students from 11 different countries cooked up their culinary delights.
Over 100 community members and day students joined boarding students in a festive evening where guests had about 60 different international dishes to choose from. The evening was organized by boarding students both to express their thanks to the community which has welcomed them so warmly and to raise funds for the relief of children in Haiti.
Students had spent the evening before and most of Friday afternoon in the apartments of dorm parents or the homes of host parents preparing food for the dinner. The Academy's kitchen staff also provided supervision in the Academy's kitchen where many students also prepared their meals.
A big thanks to dorm parents, host parents, faculty members, administration, the student body, parents and the community for making the evening a night to remember while raising over $450 for children's relief work in Haiti. The international students will give Key Club the funds which they raised to support The Academy's Key Club efforts in providing aid to the children of Haiti.
